Is Early Decision Really the Best College Application Option?
It was day two of the 2019 NACAC conference in Louisville, Kentucky and I knew the session “Early Decision: Who Really Benefits” was going to be packed. I, along with my colleagues from high schools across the country, grabbed a few last chairs, eager to hear what Kirk Brennan, Director of Admission at the University of Southern California and Jeff Schiffman, Director of Admission at Tulane University were going to say about the role of Early Decision in college admission. Given that this is one of the most controversial topics in the sphere of college counseling and admission, I knew there would be some thought-provoking information to gather. I was not disappointed.

Celebrating our Veterans
In chapel, in celebration of Veterans Day this year, three faculty veterans shared their experiences in the military with our students in hopes of honoring those who have served and to raise awareness of the sacrifices they made to serve our country.
Mr. Nate Meleo ’95 opened with a brief history of Veterans Day and after welcomed the remarks of Mr. Paul Salit and Dr. Karl Kistler. Meleo later returned to the podium to share his own remarks and close out the service.
Below are the remarks of Mr. Meleo and Dr. Kistler. Because Mr. Salit spoke from notes rather written remarks, we were unable to include his full remarks, though he echoed the themes of sacrifice and duty, respect and thanks for all our Veterans. Please enjoy the full remarks of Mr. Meleo and Dr. Kistler below.

Often, plays are action-packed or feature fantastical events that differ drastically from what goes on in the real world. This is what separates other plays from Caryl Churchill’s Love & Information.
