Hey folks! For those who don’t know me, I’m Poom Siripakorn ’21 and I am from Nonthaburi, Thailand. I am currently spending a school year abroad as a junior in Beijing, China. And yes, I will return to Tabor as a senior!

Yesterday, after a VERY long plane ride to Costa Rica, we all hopped into a couple of vans and drove to a restaurant that had really good food. After we left the restaurant we had another very long drive to Finca la Anita, where we learned all of the rules. For dinner we had (the best!) tilapia, potatoes, an interesting type of melon, and a flan-like cake with cacao nibs for dessert. (Every night, they have a dessert that has some form of chocolate on/in it, so a lot of us are excited about that.)

Reflections on Rysensteen (Tabor's Exchange in Copenhagen)
Recently Rick DaSilva ’89, Associate Director of the Center for International Students, along with faculty Wes and MacKenzie Chaput, Kelly and Nate Meleo ’95, and Bert Nascimento traveled to Copenhagen, Denmark with Tabor juniors and seniors for a week of home stays, site seeing, and classroom learning at Rysensteen Gymnasium.

This week, 35 students and faculty arrived in Chiang Mai, Thailand, for a week of service after a weekend of travel from the U.S. They are there for a cultural exchange, as well as to engage with the local community to help with a house building project and to teach English to local adults.
