Our American Government class is engaging the student body in the Presidential and Massachusetts Senate elections with some informative All School meeting presentations. Last week, we had a very informative lesson on the personal and professional backgrounds of the presidential candidates. More presentations will follow each Friday. We hope to teach about our Senate candidates, share some policy positions papers for and against issues, and also raise some awareness about political advertising, including how to fact check the candidates. Finally, a voter registration drive is in the works to register our students who are Massachusetts residents and of age to begin voting.

The next group back to campus in the preparations for the opening of school are our forty-two student proctors arriving today! Carefully selected through a nomination, recommendation and interview process, these are Tabor's most relied upon leaders. Their arrival signals the start of our teaching year as they engage immediately in a rigorous and engaging curriculum of leadership development. Ten full days, followed by weekly sessions all through semester one, we invest heavily in them.
