Arts, Athletics, and Innovation

Prospective families often ask me what I would change about Tabor if I could change just one thing. My answer: I wish Tabor Academy were its own time zone with about 30 hours in each day instead of just 24. The reason? There are just so many opportunities for our students to choose from, and it would be great to have just a little more time each day for them to do just a little bit more…and still get plenty of rest!

Prospective families will be able to sample a little bit of everything. There is a chance to meet individually with varsity coaches and directors or our major clubs and co-curricular programs such as theatre, music, dance, community service, and our Maker Lab and innovation programs. There will also be open rehearsal for our winter musical, and demonstrations in the Braitmayer Art Center and the Maker Lab. A student guide will help you get wherever you would like to go. And of course, stick around for an afternoon of exciting home action in squash, basketball, and ice hockey.

Co-curricular activities and clubs are often where lifelong friendships are formed and where the stories that will live on long past graduation originated. Life outside the classroom is an incredibly important aspect of the boarding school experience. It is the backdrop for all academic success and can help a student approach their academic experience from the strongest foundation.

Join us for the day and get a preview of the joy, pride, friendship, excitement, adventure, learning, and leadership opportunities that are all to be found in Tabor’s co-curricular program.

And cheer on the Seawolves, too!
