Posted by Eliza Kennedy, Young Alumni Engagement Officer on Aug 14, 2019 2:17:11 PM

One of the best parts of my job as the Young Alumni Engagement Officer here at Tabor is hearing all about the exciting adventures, life changing moments (houses/marriages/babies), and interesting paths our alumni have taken since leaving school.

Tabor Together: Building our Future

Posted by John Quirk on Feb 12, 2018 1:22:22 PM

John Quirk joined the throng at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, February 11, where over 200 alumni, parents, and friends gathered to celebrate Tabor at our annual Tabor Together New England event. What follows are his remarks in that very inspirational place. We hope you were able to join us!

Many of you have heard me talk about the state of the school, the state of our plans, our vision for the future. How inspiring to be standing here in front of you, in a location that symbolizes for me what it means to be competitive, and to try to extrapolate from this message and this organization’s accomplishments, our own lessons.

The Long Walk

Posted by Jackson Hawkins '17 on Feb 2, 2018 11:18:25 AM

The Appalachian Trail is a nearly 2,200-mile footpath that roughly follows the ridgeline of the Appalachian Mountains, beginning on Mt. Katahdin in central Maine, and ending on Springer Mountain in northern Georgia. This past summer and fall, my friend Lulu Russell ’17 and I hiked from one end of it to the other.

Tabor Day Returns

Posted by Dana K. Smith '76 on Oct 11, 2016 1:53:04 PM

Tabor Day is returning, and we are looking forward to it!  Recollections of Tabor Day during the Octobers of the mid-1970s include a beautiful fall Saturday each year, with the crisp aroma of Buzzards Bay salt air mixed with the campus’s scent of the still-green grass and of the colorful leaves at the start of their decline.  The arrival of families and of returning alums enlivened the campus and filled the sidelines of the fully scheduled athletic events.  And it was always great to see the recent grads with whom you may have shared a TA class or a team … or a few humorous episodes.

1000 Leagues Across the Sea: North Atlantic Ocean Row

Posted by Cindy Way '92 on Feb 18, 2016 11:18:35 AM

In May 2016, James Caple and I are starting our quest to row across the North Atlantic Ocean from Cape Cod, MA to Ireland. This distance equates to approximately 2800 nautical miles through one of the most notoriously difficult oceans in the world. Just ask anyone who was on the Titanic! Upon successful completion of our row, we will be the first American pair, the first ever mixed pair, and for me, the first American Woman, to complete an ocean row across this challenging route.

Coming Home

Posted by Kate Hill '02 on Feb 16, 2016 12:03:23 PM

I graduated from Tabor in 2002, and this past summer, my husband and I moved to Marion. We purchased the Oliver Cobb House at 460 Front Street and opened the Silvershell Inn. Moving to Marion wasn’t an earth-shattering idea: I graduated from Tabor, my husband and I met at the Buzzard’s Bay Regatta in 2010, we got engaged on the dock at BYC, and we were married at St. Gabriel’s Church. But, the decision to buy a 216-year-old house was a leap into the deep end. We thought ourselves well-equipped—I was a technical theatre major and my husband worked construction during his summers in college.
