The student cast members working on the Winter Musical Legally Blonde have just gone "off book" (as they say). After all the blocking, singing and dancing, memorizing, costuming, prop, set and lighting design: they are going into performance mode, forcing their memory of all they've learned and putting the shine on their performance, making it into something worthy of a "show!"

This is the period of work that occurs before dress rehearsals, so the students above are not in costume. Yet! They need to work with their props, fine-tune the set and coordinate the set changes, etc. There is still so much work to do.

The heat is on! Curtain goes up in 19 days!

The play is a comedic love story about Elle Woods. A girl who is determined to follow her boyfriend to Harvard, but has to convince the Admissions Office to let her in. It goes on from there with Elle's unique powers of persuasion, adding up to a fun and inspirational story: especially in honor of Valentine's Day month!

Tabor drama has evolved over the years, now greatly enhanced by our dance program and by our many singing performance groups. The kids have talent and they enjoy performing, so you won't be disappointed!

I hope you can join the celebration of all their hard work at one of the productions. The show opens on February 20 and runs on the 21st and 22nd: curtain up at 7:30pm. Tickets are available at the door for $10 at the box office at the Fireman Performing Arts Center in Hoyt Hall. Don't miss the chance to see them shine!

PS: There are opportunities for sponsorship and program book ads which directly support the production. If you are so inclined, please contact wintermusicaltix@taboracademy.org for more information. Ads must be submitted by February 7 to be included! Thanks!
