P1030882Three Tabor alumni, starting at the crack of dawn, were involved in the 6th annual Cape Cod Bay Challenge on August 17th. The Cape Cod Bay Challenge is a 34-mile stand up paddle-board marathon benefitting Christopher's Haven, a home for families whose children are receiving cancer treatment at Mass General and Dana Farber.

P1030864[1]Tabor alumnus and Director of Advancement, Mark Aimone '86 (left) and his classmate David Chokachi' 86 participated, completing the 34-mile trip from Plymouth Beach to Wellfleet. David is one of only two paddlers who have participated in all six of the Cape Cod Bay Challenges. Peter Sheer '88, not pictured, donating his time and his boat for the safety of the paddlers, was a driver of one of the many support boats, a service he has provided for the event for a number of years.

The event was a physical challenge to all the athletes and raised more than $100,000 for Christopher's Haven. If you would like to know more about this annual event, click here, or please be in touch and I will direct you to one of the participants. It is always nice to celebrate the good works of our alumni body in the community! Well done, guys!
